REVISED POLICY FOR KOM & I MEMBERSHIP TO VETERANS
- Priority - I This waiting list will comprise of applicants who have superannuated after completion of full service in the rank held and been members of KOI in OSSO/In-station serving officers sub category for a minimum duration of seven years in continuity. Widows of officers who have been members will be granted membership against same vacancy as spouse. Officers/widows in this category will be given membership on retirement only if they have settled down in the vicinity of Panchkula as specified in Notes (aa)and (ab) of Para 16 (b) on Page No 5.
- Priority - II This waiting list will comprise of applicants who have superannuated after completion of full service in the rank held. This waiting list will be considered after Priority I waiting list is exhausted. Widows of officers who were not KOI members will be waitlisted in this category.
- Prority- III This waiting list will comprise of applicants who are permanent commissioned but have taken premature retirement/have served as Short Service/Emergency Commissioned Officers (SSC/EC). This waiting list will be considered after Priority I & II waiting lists are exhausted.
Note :
- Widows of officers who were members will be granted membership in the same vacancy on applying. A new membership number will be issued accordingly in the widow category and subscription charged in continuity of earlier membership.
- Separate waiting lists as per Priority I, II & III above for all sub-categories will be maintained at KOI office and updated on monthly/as-required basis.
REVISED POLICY OF KOM&I MEMBERSHIP Out-Station Serving Officers (OSSO)
All serving Army officers posted elsewhere, who are permanent residents of the Tri-city, but desirous of utilizing facilities of KOI by their families/self at their discretion. OSSO membership can also be granted to those officers who are posted in Field areas and their families are residing in SF in the Tri City. Officers with less than one year residual service before retirement will not be considered for grant of OSSO membership.
Note : Membership in this category stands terminated automatically at the end of the tenure, or on retirement / discharge or on leaving service for any reason, as applicable. Termination of membership will be at the retirement age in the rank held by the officer / actual date of retirement. The onus of informing KOI of any changes in status in respect of personal/official details will be that of the member concerned.
