Aims & Objectives
The Khetarpal Officers’ Institute (KOI) located at Chandimandir Military Station, was established in May 1985 as Thimmayya Officers’ Institute (TOI) on the first floor of the present Command Officers’ Mess of the famed HQ Western Command. The Thimmayya Officers’ Institute was re-designated as The Defence Services Officers’ Institute (DSOI) in November 1997. On 01 Dec 2000 the Institute was further redesignated as Shivalik Officers Institute. The main building or New SOI was inaugurated on 10 Mar 2002. The Institute was then re-designated as Khetarpal Officers’ Institute (KOI).
Aim
To provide an avenue for interaction as well as provide for basic needs in term of infrastructure for sports and social activities for officers and dependents posted/ serving in Chandigarh Military Station.
Objective
The objectives for which the Institute has been established are as under:-
- To provide to its members all the privileges, conveniences and facilities consistent with an Officers’ Institute.

To promote social interaction amongst its members.
- Promote Officers’ sports activities.

Cultivate reciprocal arrangement with other similar institutions of Western Command and other Commands, at the discretion of the Management Committee.
